Alèxe Lambrecht
Visiting Student

Alèxe is pursuing a master’s degree in Bioscience Engineering: Catalytic Technology at KU Leuven. For her master’s thesis, she is investigating PIM-G membranes for carbon capture from flue gas streams, conducting this research as a visiting student in the Smith Lab. Previously, her research at KUL contributed to circular economy solutions, where she worked on optimizing advanced scanning technologies to separate heavy metals from plastics and classify mixed industrial polymers. Outside the laboratory, Alèxe enjoys running, skiing, and watersports.
