Moonjoo Lee

Moonjoo is from Seoul, South Korea and grew up in Seoul until she joined her PhD program at Texas A&M University. She received her PhD degree under the supervision of Professor Hae-Kwon Jeong and received both her M.S. and B.S. degrees at the Department of Chemical Engineering, Hanyang University under the supervision of Professor Kyung-Do Suh and Professor Young Moo Lee. Membrane-based separation is her research interests. Her previous research experience is on pore-tunable nanoporous crystalline MOFs membranes for gas separation. Her current research interests include investigating structure-property relationship of graphene oxide membranes and mixed-matrix membranes for gas and vapor permeation. In her spare time, she likes to make cloth teddy bears while streaming her go-to comfort-binge “Friends”.
