Jaatani Abdi
Graduate Student

Jaatani is from Fairfax, VA and received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Purdue University. While at Purdue, he conducted research with Dr. Raj Gounder on the synthesis mechanisms of small-pore zeolites using surfactant-growth modifiers. Jaatani also spent a summer working with Dr. Eranda Nikolla at the University of Michigan on the synthesis and characterization of metal nanoparticles. As a member of the Smith group, Jaatani works on quantifying transport mechanisms within various microporous materials. In his free time, Jaatani enjoys watching sports, playing pickup basketball, and cooking.
