Moein Hajian
Visiting Graduate Student

Moein received his B.Sc. in chemical engineering from the Petroleum University of technology and pursued his M.Sc. degree at the AmirKabir University of Technology (2016) where he researched the mass transportation of particles in a multi-component solution through the PDMS polymer membrane under the pervaporation process. Then, after working for two years in industries, he started my Ph.D. under Prof. Howe in Texas Tech University. His research focuses on electronic structure and classical atomistic material simulations to fundamentally understand the heterogeneity, surfaces, and interfaces in complex materials. He is a visiting student in the Smith group at MIT, and is working on a collaborative project to investigate the interactions of polymers and MOF (ZIF-8) surfaces in the Mixed-Matrix Membranes (MMM).
