Olivia Wilkinson
Graduate Student
Olivia grew up in Allentown, Pennsylvania and received her B.S in Chemical Engineering from the University of Virginia in 2024. As an undergraduate at UVA, she worked with the Chris Paolucci group on calculating the acid strength of different Lewis acidic zeolites using DFT. At the National Energy Technology Laboratory, she also worked with Ping Wang to research the design and performance of manganese-iron mixed metal oxides with silica support for thermochemical energy storage. In the Smith group, Olivia studies rational crosslinking strategies to control the physical aging in PIMs for gas separations applications. Outside of research in undergrad, Olivia was a member of the UVA marching band. Currently, she enjoys doing art and playing pickup soccer with friends.
