Shaofei Wang
Postdoctoral Associate
Shaofei Wang is from a town in Hebei Province, China. He got his bachelor’s degree at South China University of Technology in 2011. In 2016, he got the Ph.D. degree in chemical engineering from Tianjin University (China), under the guidance of Prof. Zhongyi Jiang and Prof. Michael D. Guiver. During his Ph.D., he focused on membranes for gas separations, including mixed matrix membranes and two-dimensional material membranes. From 2017-2019, he joined as a postdoc in Prof. Suzana Nunes’s group at King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). At KAUST, his research interests focused on membranes for liquid separations, especially organic solvent nanofiltration membranes. He joins the Smith Lab since 2019. His current research interests include MOF-based mixed matrix membranes and graphene oxide membranes for gas separations. Till now, he has co-authored more than 50 peer-reviewed papers with ~2800 citations. He would like to go hiking and watching movies in his spare time.
